The #1 Part of Celiac Disease That Never Gets Easier | Childhood Favs Reminaged Gluten-Free

Hello Reader,

Fourteen years into living with celiac disease, and somehow, this never gets easier.

I’m writing you from a business conference. When I registered, they asked about food allergies, and I clearly marked mine on the form, thinking that would be enough.

But once I got here? There really wasn’t food for me.

I’ve been in this situation enough times to know what to do. I opened the Find Me Gluten Free app, found a nearby spot with GF options, and left the conference to get myself food.

I know so many of you have been in this exact situation before.

Years ago, moments like this used to make me really emotional. This time, I just picked myself up and did what I needed to do to take care of myself. That’s just part of living with celiac disease. It sucks. But it's our reality.

PS: I used to make a bigger deal out of these situations, but this one I just went with the flow (as much as I could). That said, I let the conference organizers know there weren't safe options for me. I didn't throw a stink; I just spoke up ... because if we stay silent, nothing gets better for the next person.

Featured Brand: Wild Zora

This week, I’m spotlighting a brand making seriously good snacks.

Wild Zora makes naturally gluten-free meat and veggie bars that are savory, protein-rich, energizing, and delicious.

Please take a moment to learn more about this brand by listening to my interview with founder Zora Tabin on this week's episode of my podcast.

Zora grew up in Czechoslovakia, working on her grandparents’ farms, and after moving to the U.S. as an adult, she had the idea of combining meat, fruit, and veggies into one snack bar. The fruit provides a quick energy boost, while the meat helps provide more lasting fuel and satiety. Brilliant!!

Listen to this week’s podcast to hear how Wild Zora came to life, and then be sure to give these bars a try.

Get 25% off with the code WILDZORALMGF25 at wildzora.com, and try all five flavors: Mediterranean Lamb, BBQ Beef, Curry Turkey, Italian Beef, and Apple Pork.

That's all I have for this week. See you next week!

Sincerely,

Jenny

Hello Reader, Every time a new Love Me Gluten Free box goes out into the world, I get a little nervous. It’s such a strange feeling. On the one hand, I’m so proud of what I’ve created and curated… and on the other, it feels like I’m putting a piece of myself out there, wondering what everyone will think. If you’ve ever created something and shared it publicly, you probably know exactly what I mean. That said… this May box? She’s a keeper!! I leaned more savory this month after last month’s...

Hello Reader, I do my best to keep you informed on all things gluten-free… but sometimes what I have to share just plain sucks. This is one of those times. As of April 2026, Mars has updated several M&M’s products in New Zealand—including Peanut, Milk Chocolate, and Minis—to include gluten-containing ingredients (specifically barley malt extract). They’re working to spread the word, even sponsoring a post with @coeliacnewzealand to notify the community (more like… alarm everyone). For now,...
