Hello Reader, We have many new readers of the Good For You Gluten Free newsletter - welcome to our humble community! If you could take a moment to add me to your SafeSender list or drag my emails into your primary box (Google users), it would be so helpful. I just want to make sure I'm reaching you each week, and those spam filters are brutal on sincere creators like me. Let's get into this week's content: The Trader Joe Myth that Just Won't Go AwayThe myth that Trader Joe's gluten-free products aren't really gluten-free just won't go away. I feel like there are people who insist that Trader Joe's products contain gluten and that Trader Joe's is lying to them. Alas, Trader Joe's follows the same FDA gluten-free labeling guidelines as everyone else, and I can't imagine that the grocery store chain is trying to secretly trick the celiac community into buying their products and then poisoning them. I have an entire article dedicated to debunking this myth and explaining where I think its roots lie. It's a fascinating read - I hope you'll take a moment to check it out. Read: Can You Trust Trader Joe's Gluten-Free Claims Remember, the next time you hear someone spreading unfounded information about Trader Joe's, let that misinformation stop with you. And Speaking of Myth Busting...This week on Gluten Free Unwrapped, I interviewed Selena DeVries, a Registered Dietitian who specializes in celiac disease. She is also the voice behind Celiac Made Simple (give her a follow!). I put Selena in the hot seat and asked her if the following rumors are myths or facts. We go through them all in detail - making this a can't miss episode!!
📣 Listen on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and my blog. It means so much to me when you tune in! Let the Best Tortilla Win!It truly is a great time to be gluten-free, and today, I want to spotlight the tortilla aisle. My go-to tortilla remains BFree. The tortillas are super soft and bend without breaking. They stay fresh and soft, even at room temperature, and they don't require heating to taste good. In other words, they taste and feel most like a normal tortilla! But there appears to be some stiff competition today. Siete also has a line of tasty tortillas. Please note that these come frozen and require heating. This week, Siete launched a Sourdough-Style and Maíz Organic Yellow Corn tortilla. Very exciting! And then there are a few other tortilla brands that are worth trying:

Hello Reader, Every time a new Love Me Gluten Free box goes out into the world, I get a little nervous. It’s such a strange feeling. On the one hand, I’m so proud of what I’ve created and curated… and on the other, it feels like I’m putting a piece of myself out there, wondering what everyone will think. If you’ve ever created something and shared it publicly, you probably know exactly what I mean. That said… this May box? She’s a keeper!! I leaned more savory this month after last month’s...
Hello Reader, I do my best to keep you informed on all things gluten-free… but sometimes what I have to share just plain sucks. This is one of those times. As of April 2026, Mars has updated several M&M’s products in New Zealand—including Peanut, Milk Chocolate, and Minis—to include gluten-containing ingredients (specifically barley malt extract). They’re working to spread the word, even sponsoring a post with @coeliacnewzealand to notify the community (more like… alarm everyone). For now,...
Hello Reader, Happy Friday! Did you see Shark Tank on Wednesday night? Dina Mitchell, the founder of PowerSoul Cafe, a dedicated, certified gluten-free fast-food chain in Las Vegas, pitched her business to the sharks. Spoiler incoming... skip the next few sentences if you don't want to know what happened. . . . Dina was clearly nervous during her pitch. At times, her back-and-forth with the Sharks came across as a bit argumentative, and she struggled to share the numbers they were looking...
