Spotlighting Women-Owned Small Businesses

I wanted to spotlight two small but mighty women-owned businesses to watch:

(1) Tia's Brownies: Tia's Superfood Brownies are premium brownies made with organic, vegan, dairy-free, soy-free, and non-GMO ingredients, and of course, they're 100% gluten-free.

These gorgeous brownies are moist and tender, as they're made with almond flour. And I love that Tia uses only naturally lower-glycemic sweeteners, like maple syrup and coconut sugar. We devoured the samples they sent us.

👉 Try Tia's Brownies today; get 10% off any order with the code JENNY at tiasbrownies.com.

(2) Daux House: I just sampled some huge gluten-free chocolate chip cookies from Daux House - these cookies are chewy and delicious.

Daux House cookies are the creation of Lynn and Violet, gluten-free friends who craved a classic soft-baked cookie. The cookies come frozen and are supersized. They bake up beautifully, and I can attest that they taste as good as they look.

My Love For Chinese Food

I love Chinese food, and so many of my recipes incorporate Asian flavors. Please check out 15 of my Favorite Gluten-Free Asian Recipes. I created these recipes over the past 10 years and still enjoy 'em to this day!

Don't feel like cooking? Here are a few restaurants that may satisfy your Asian cravings; unfortunately, they are few and far between.

  • Many people love PF Chang's and their sister restaurant, Pei Wei. I enjoy many of their dishes, like their Spicy Chicken, which is coated in rice flour and wok-fried.
  • I recently tried a chain restaurant called Lazy Dog. It's far from an Asian restaurant, but they have a Sweet & Spicy Wok Fried Chicken that is satisfying and delicious. They have locations in several states - check the restaurant locator.
  • A fast-casual restaurant called BIBIBOP is very popular in the Midwest (Ohio, Illinois, etc.) with 70+ locations. Apparently, the food is incredible. I continue to beg them to open a location in Denver so I can finally try it! Or maybe I need to plan a trip...

What other Asian restaurants (outside of your local mom and pop restaurants) do you recommend when Chinese food cravings hit? Reply and share. If I get enough recommendations, I will share a new list of restaurants next week.

Save the Dates

🍻 Live in Denver? Holidaily's Annual Gluten-Free Foodie Festival is on May 17th. There will be plenty of Holidaily beer on tap, along with food trucks and booths. RSVP HERE.

Podcast Coming Soon! My new podcast, Gluten Free Unwrapped, debuts later this month (if all goes as planned- 🤞). This exciting podcast will take you inside the stories behind the brands that make our world tick. I have interviewed a handful of founders already, and promise you that these episodes are packed with great stories from brands you know and love. I'm dying to share my first episodes. Stay tuned - we are hard at work making this happen!

Have a great weekend. See you next week...

Sincerely,

Hello Reader, I recently spotted a certified gluten-free product (GFCO certified!) that also had a label saying, "May contain wheat." Wait… what? Turns out, the product is made in a shared facility—not on shared equipment—and the manufacturer added the warning as a legal precaution. I spoke with the brand owner, who assured me the product tests below 10 ppm of gluten, which meets GFCO’s strict standards (stricter than the FDA's 20 ppm!). She’s planning to change the label to say,...

Hello Reader, I wanted to drop a few exciting updates into your inbox mid-week. First off, people in gluten-free land have lost their minds at the idea that Cheez-Its are coming out with a gluten-free version of its beloved cracker. Yes, it's exciting news when large companies make products for us and finally recognize the importance of our small but mighty community. However, the news was not earth-shattering for me, as I was like, "Where have you been this whole time?" Image credit to a...

Hello Reader, I want to personally invite you to join me on Facebook Live today (Friday, June 6th) at 11:00 a.m. CDT. Our June Love Me Gluten Free box just dropped, and I'll be unboxing it live and telling you more about why I chose the products I chose for this very "adventurous" box. As you may know, I founded Love Me Gluten Free, a dedicated gluten-free sampling box. I love helping you discover new products and save money. Even if you didn't receive a box, stay tuned throughout the month...
