Hello Reader, My May Love Me Gluten Free box came out this week, and it's always the most exciting and most nerve-wracking week for me. But this community is amazing. So many of you send me pictures and love notes, and you instantly calm my nerves. We have a truly special community here. One "love" note from Jenny S. really stood out: "I received my first box yesterday, and I have to tell you that I cried like a baby! I felt so seen and cared for, not to mention so excited to try these fun new safe foods. I am trying to pace myself because I want to eat everything right now!" I hope my boxes help you feel seen and cared for. This is the vibe I'm going for always! 👉 Please join me TODAY (May 9th) for our monthly Facebook Live at 11 am CDT. During the Live, I'll share more about each brand featured in the May box, and I'll be giving away some awesome swag. This is our time to be together as a community ... and as long as you keep showing up, I'll keep it going! 👉 RSVP HERE so I know you're coming - and I hope to see you in a few hours. 🤞 Win the May Box + WOW Cookies 🍪I've teamed with WOW Baking company to give one lucky winner my May Love Me Gluten Free box + a sampler of WOW cookies - WOW, right?!? Lemon Scones for Mother's Day?If you follow me on Instagram, you probably saw me make beautiful lemon scones with this super simple baking mix from Namaste. These were so easy to make. I followed the instructions on the box, then added a lemon drizzle on top (lemon juice + powdered sugar). Bam, scone perfection! Namaste is another brand that has been with us for a long time. In my early celiac years, my daughter asked me to make cupcakes for her birthday to bring to school. I had no idea how to do this without my normal flour and mixes. I scanned the aisles at Natural Grocers and bought the Namaste Chocolate Cake mix. The cupcakes were incredible, and no one knew they were gluten-free. Namaste was the first brand to give me the confidence that I could do this. 👉 Use the code LUVMENAMASTE for 25% off at namastefoods.com through 6/30/25. PS: If you order Namaste with my code, email me your receipt. I have a little gift for you. 😉 Mother's Day RecipesI'm hosting my mom for a Mother's Day lunch, and I can't decide if I should make brunch food, like my favorite Spinach & Onion Quiche and Extra Fluffy Pancakes, or lunch food like paninis with warm tomato soup. 🤔 I've got a lot of Canyon Bakehouse bread on hand - that would be perfect for paninis, right? Caulipower + Pizza Hut Partnership 🍕My friend Erica at Celiac and the Beast reported news that she received in an email from Caulipower yesterday. The company announced it will be serving its gluten-free cauliflower crust pizza in 225 Pizza Huts. This is a test run, and if it goes well, Pizza Hut will roll out the Caulipower pizza nationwide. Here's what you need to know: ☑️ Caulipower is a trusted gluten-free brand. The founder's two sons have celiac disease, so you know gluten-free is personal. ☑️ The Pizza Hut test locations include Iowa, Illinois, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, South Dakota, and Indiana. (I'm in Denver, so I won't be able to get the in-store scoop for you.) ☑️ I emailed the company to find out more information about how this will be executed, if it's a special pizza or the same one you can buy at the grocery store, and a few other follow-up questions. I will let you know when I hear back. This is a developing story. Remember When Pizza Hut Actually Had Gluten-Free Pizza? If you've been gluten-free long enough, you might remember a time when Pizza Hut offered legit "certified" gluten-free pizzas. You can read more about this partnership here. However, in 2019, Pizza Hut and the Gluten Intolerance Group parted ways, and Pizza Hut, while still offering gluten-free pizza today, does not offer "certified gluten-free" pizza nor recommend its pizza for people with celiac disease. In fact, all of the big five pizza joints, including Domino's, Papa John's, Papa Murphy's, Little Caesars, and Pizza Hut, offer gluten-free pizza ... but none recommend their pizza for people with celiac disease - the exact people who need it most. Ho hum. 💡 News Tips?I love sharing the latest news, products, and restaurant finds with you each week. Hello Reader, I recently spotted a certified gluten-free product (GFCO certified!) that also had a label saying, "May contain wheat." Wait… what? Turns out, the product is made in a shared facility—not on shared equipment—and the manufacturer added the warning as a legal precaution. I spoke with the brand owner, who assured me the product tests below 10 ppm of gluten, which meets GFCO’s strict standards (stricter than the FDA's 20 ppm!). She’s planning to change the label to say,...
Hello Reader, I wanted to drop a few exciting updates into your inbox mid-week. First off, people in gluten-free land have lost their minds at the idea that Cheez-Its are coming out with a gluten-free version of its beloved cracker. Yes, it's exciting news when large companies make products for us and finally recognize the importance of our small but mighty community. However, the news was not earth-shattering for me, as I was like, "Where have you been this whole time?" Image credit to a...
