It's been a busy week in gluten-free land!

We've got new Lemon Oreos, some exciting grocery store finds, and a couple of important Trader Joe's alerts you need to know about.

Plus, Halloween is almost here, November's Love Me Gluten Free boxes are getting ready to ship, and another gluten-free brand is making headlines with a major acquisition deal.

There's a lot to catch up on, so let's get to it!

2 Trader Joe's Warnings

(1) Trader Joe's Chocolate Bar Recall

Trader Joe's has recalled more than 11,000 packages of its Crispy Rice Milk Chocolate Bars because the outer packaging failed to declare wheat. The products were distributed in 12 Eastern states. Read the recall details. (Recall notice did not include a photo.)

(2) Pumpkin O's No Longer Gluten Free

Trader Joe's reformulated its seasonal Pumpkin O's cereal for fall 2026. The updated recipe contains wheat starch, and the cereal no longer carries a gluten-free label. Shoppers began reporting the change in Fall 2026.

9 New Products Spotted in Gluten-Free Land!

Lots of exciting gluten-free discoveries this week:

Oreo: Gluten-Free Lemon Creme Oreos are here! It features a lemon creme filling sandwiched between two vanilla cookies.

TRUBAR: The brand just launched Drizzle Mini Rice Cakes in three flavors: Birthday Cake, Cinnamon Roll, and S'mores. They're gluten-free, dairy-free, and contain 5 grams of protein per serving.

Mighty Spark: Things are heating up with the brand's new Hot & Spicy Chicken Snack Sticks. They're gluten-free and contain just 60 calories per stick.

Crunchmaster: Look for these new flavors at Publix: Parmesan Garlic Multi-Grain Crackers and Lemon Pepper Parmesan Chickpea Crisps.

Marimix: Costco shoppers in Southern California and Hawaii can now find Marimix Cinnamon Churro Snackmix on shelves!

Boostcous: This tasty gluten-free protein couscous is now available at 109 Wegmans stores across nine states. Look for it in the rice and grains aisle.

Yumkies: The gluten-free cookie brand is rolling out at select Walmart stores with Protein Cookies, Power Minis, and Bossy Bites.

Jöey Nordic Seed Crisps: Look for these seedy certified gluten-free seed crackers at more than 500 Sprouts stores nationwide for a limited three-month run starting November 1st.

B.T.R. Nation: The brand just introduced limited edition Milk Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups in collaboration with influencer Health With Hunter. They're made with organic ingredients and sweetened with dates.

Wicked Gluten Free Is [Almost] Here!

If you're in the NY/NJ area, mark your calendar for November 7–8! The Wicked Gluten Free Expo is taking over the Meadowlands Exposition Center in Secaucus, NJ, with more than 100 booths featuring gluten-free foods, treats, and plenty of samples.

Mondelēz Acquires Majority Stake in Undercover Snacks

Mondelēz International, the company behind Oreo and Ritz, announced plans to acquire a majority stake in Undercover Snacks, a brand known for its certified gluten-free chocolate-covered quinoa crisps.

Founder Diana Levy started the company after two of her daughters were diagnosed with celiac disease.

In 2015, Mondelēz acquired Enjoy Life Foods, but did the company dirty as I explain in this video. It discontinued much of its once-popular allergy-friendly lineup, and Enjoy Life is a shell of what it once was.

While I'm excited to see another gluten-free brand get the resources to grow, I'm cautiously optimistic. Here's hoping Undercover Snacks can expand its reach without losing the products and values that made it special in the first place.

Halloween Recipe!

It's that time of year again when we must scrutinize every candy label for hidden gluten!

While I have a gluten-free Halloween candy list that I put together years ago, even I know things can change without warning. So use my candy list as a guide, but always, and I mean always, read labels carefully.

And if you're looking for something fun to do with the kids, I highly recommend making these spooky gluten-free Halloween cookies!

They're soft, tender, gluten-free, and dairy-free, and I even used an egg-free royal icing to decorate them.

Goodbye October, Hello November! 🍂

We're saying goodbye to our beautiful October Love Me Gluten Free box. 😔 We enjoyed so many delicious goodies this month, but it's time to make room for something new.
