šŸ“£ Big News in Celiac Testing | 5 New GF Products in June | July Box is Almost Gone šŸ“¦

Hello Reader,

We’ve had a lot of new friends join our community recently, so I wanted to quickly (re)introduce myself.

I’m Jenny, founder of Good For You Gluten Free—a blog and newsletter created to support and empower the gluten-free community.

Every Friday, I share a quick roundup of gluten-free news, tips, product finds, exclusive discounts, and more.

Let’s dive into this week’s need-to-knows!

šŸ“£ Big News in Celiac Testing

If you went gluten-free before getting tested for celiac, you’re not alone—and you probably know how tricky it can be to get answers.

It’s widely known that you must be eating gluten for traditional celiac tests to work. This means many people never find out if they have celiac disease or non-celiac gluten sensitivity unless they agree to do the dreaded "Gluten Challenge," which requires them to eat gluten for several weeks before getting tested for celiac disease.

But there’s hope!

A new study published in Gastroenterology this month found that a blood test measuring a cytokine called interleukin-2 may be a highly effective way to diagnose celiac disease, even in individuals who are already following a gluten-free diet. šŸ™Œ

This could be a game-changer for getting a real diagnosis without having to reintroduce gluten and trigger painful symptoms. More accurate, less invasive testing? Yes, please!

Read more about the study methodology and findings in this article.

My July Box is Going, Going, Almost Gone ā˜€ļøšŸ“¦

Growing this business over the past 15 months has been one of the most challenging—and rewarding—experiences of my life. Many of you have supported and cheered me on along the way, and I’m so grateful. šŸ’›

Our July box is now available for pre-order. The theme is ā€œA Taste of Summerā€ and it includes some of my favorite seasonal flavors—think s’mores, peach, watermelon, and BBQ.

New Must-Try Products in June

It’s a great time to be gluten-free—so many exciting new products are hitting the shelves! I’ve rounded up a few standout finds, plus some exclusive discounts I’ve personally secured just for our community:

NEW: Caulipuffs just dropped a clean-ingredient, vegan Doritos dupe—and it’s already winning awards because it’s that good. Meet Caulitos, available in bold Dairy-Free Nacho and Sea Salt flavors. Made with cauliflower, lentils, and rice, they’re light, crunchy, 100% plant-based, and totally road trip-ready!

šŸ‘‰ Try 'em ASAP. Use code GOOD15 for 15% off any order at caulipuffs.com.

NEW: Go Raw just launched a new line of Organic Snacking Granola, and I’m obsessed. It’s made with sprouted seeds, puffed whole grains (no oats!), and toasted coconut. The giant clusters are perfect for on-the-go snacking, and the flavor is incredible. I’ve already spotted two of the five new flavors at Sprouts—happy hunting!

šŸ‘‰ Purchase and submit your receipt at THIS LINK for an instant $4 rebate, valid through June 30th.

NEW: We already love Ethel’s indulgent dessert bars—so it’s no surprise we’re excited about their new soft-baked cookies, now available at Sprouts, Walmart, and other stores nationwide. Flavors include S’mores, Confetti, Brown Butter, and Oatmeal Raisin. Spoiler alert: One of these delicious cookie flavors is headed your way in our July LMGF box.

NEW: PeaKaPop just launched two bold new flavors: Tomato & Italian Herbs and Chili Lime. These light, crunchy chips are popped (not fried) and made with wholesome ingredients like chickpeas, peas, and lentils. Think of them as a smarter and more flavorful swap for rice cakes or Popchips. Find them on Amazon.

NEW: Dr. Praeger’s is well-known for wholesome, veggie-packed frozen foods—and now they’ve launched certified gluten-free Pizza Stars at Target. These air-fryer-friendly bites are a hit with kids and adults alike! (Note: Dr. Praeger’s makes both GF and non-GF products, so always look for the gluten-free label.) Find them near you at drpraegers.com.

Hello Reader, Once upon a time, if I saw ā€œmade on shared equipmentā€ on a product label, I wouldn’t touch it. Even if it said ā€œcertified gluten-free,ā€ I’d still worry it wasn’t safe. It’s confusing. Maybe even scary. I get it — I used to feel this way. However, after years of research, conversations with brands, and a deeper understanding of how third-party certifications actually work, including a conversation with the GFCO, the leading gluten-free certifying agency, I can confidently say...

Hello Reader, I recently spotted a certified gluten-free product (GFCO certified!) that also had a label saying, "May contain wheat." Wait… what? Turns out, the product is made in a shared facility—not on shared equipment—and the manufacturer added the warning as a legal precaution. I spoke with the brand owner, who assured me the product tests below 10 ppm of gluten, which meets GFCO’s strict standards (stricter than the FDA's 20 ppm!). She’s planning to change the label to say,...

Hello Reader, I wanted to drop a few exciting updates into your inbox mid-week. First off, people in gluten-free land have lost their minds at the idea that Cheez-Its are coming out with a gluten-free version of its beloved cracker. Yes, it's exciting news when large companies make products for us and finally recognize the importance of our small but mighty community. However, the news was not earth-shattering for me, as I was like, "Where have you been this whole time?" Image credit to a...
