Hello Reader, I’m writing this from LaGuardia Airport, where I’ve been stuck for longer than I care to admit. It’s been a whirlwind couple of days in New York City—but despite the travel chaos, I’m leaving inspired, full (literally), and ready to share all the gluten-free goodness with you. Since Friday is a holiday in the U.S. (hello, July 4th 🇺🇸), I decided to send your newsletter a day early. Let’s dive in. A Show - and City - to RememberTuesday night, not one—but two—of my flights were canceled. I scrambled to book a last-minute hotel, made my way back to LaGuardia the next day, and crossed my fingers that this would be the flight to finally get me home. (Update: It did!) Despite the snafu at the end, my trip was incredible. I checked off some serious NYC gluten-free bucket list spots (more on that below) and had the opportunity to attend the Fancy Food Show, one of the largest trade shows for specialty food brands. The show isn't open to the public, but as a creator, I was able to get a sneak peek, and I found some exciting new products I can’t wait to share with you soon on Instagram - make sure you're following me! Join Me Live at 11:00 am CDT TodayThis month’s Love Me Gluten Free box just dropped, and it's a beauty! I can't wait for you to see what's inside. TODAY is the day to join me LIVE on Facebook for our exciting July unboxing event. I know we usually meet on a Friday, but we moved it up because tomorrow is a holiday. 📍 Thursday, July 3rd at 11:00 am CDT on the Good For You Gluten Free Facebook Page. Anyone joining live will be entered into a drawing to win a FREE July box - all you gotta do to be entered to win our sold-out July box is to join us live!! 🥯 NYC Bucket List Moment – CHECK!There were three gluten-free restaurants in NYC I’d only dreamed of visiting from afar, and this trip gave me the chance to experience them firsthand. At the top of my list? Modern Bread & Bagel. This was a bucket list moment—and let me tell you, the bakery's NY-style bagel delivered. I may have cried tears of joy... if I hadn’t been too busy shoveling food into my mouth. 😅 I also tried a super moist donut, legit rugelach, and a to-die-for cinnamon roll. I never eat like this, but for Modern Bread & Bagel, I made an exception (for research purposes, obviously). 🥟 How Is This Even Gluten Free?I adore Vanessa Phillips, founder of Feel Good Foods, and after interviewing her for my podcast (Gluten Free Unwrapped) this week, I learned she also co-founded Friedman’s, a famous restaurant chain in NYC. Ninety-nine percent of the menu is gluten-free, and since Vanessa is behind it all, you know the staff has a high level of celiac awareness. I went to the location in Battery Park with my girl, @celiacwithkayla. This particular restaurant features an Asian-inspired menu, but each restaurant has its own flair. Another location that we first went to, but didn't stay, had a more sandwich and fried chicken vibe. Kayla and I pigged out on crispy sesame chicken, soup dumplings, potstickers, and chicken lettuce wraps - all pictured below. If I lived in NYC, I’d easily eat here on repeat. 🎧 P.S. Don’t miss my NEW podcast episode with Vanessa Philips, the founder of Feel Good Foods—it dropped yesterday and it’s a good one! Underwhelmed by Senza GlutenI also tried Senza Gluten, a dedicated GF restaurant that many rave about. I ordered the branzino with roasted potatoes and spinach—it was seasoned well and totally safe, which I appreciated. I truly loved this dish. But… the bread basket was underwhelming, and the pasta my friend ordered (which we assumed would be house-made) was from a box. Still, it was a solid meal and another bucket list spot checked off. As you can see, NYC is truly one of the best places to find gluten-free foods. If it's not on your bucket list, add it! Recall AlertNatureMills US Inc. is voluntarily recalling products sold between December 1, 2023, and May 10, 2025, due to undeclared allergens: Wheat, Milk, and Sesame. 🎆 Wrapping Up + 4th of July FunIt’s been a long week, and I’m happy to be home and celebrate the 4th of July with my family. We're enjoying a potluck meal with family on the 4th. I’m making THIS PASTA SALAD and using Sweet Loren’s GF puff pastry to make pigs in a blanket (highly recommend). What are you making for the holiday weekend? Hit reply and tell me—I love hearing from you. Wishing you a safe, delicious, and joy-filled holiday weekend! 🇺🇸 Happy 4th of July to my U.S. friends. 🍁 Belated Happy Canada Day to my friends up north. ☀️ And Happy Summer to all! Hello Reader, Once upon a time, if I saw “made on shared equipment” on a product label, I wouldn’t touch it. Even if it said “certified gluten-free,” I’d still worry it wasn’t safe. It’s confusing. Maybe even scary. I get it — I used to feel this way. However, after years of research, conversations with brands, and a deeper understanding of how third-party certifications actually work, including a conversation with the GFCO, the leading gluten-free certifying agency, I can confidently say...

Hello Reader, I recently spotted a certified gluten-free product (GFCO certified!) that also had a label saying, "May contain wheat." Wait… what? Turns out, the product is made in a shared facility—not on shared equipment—and the manufacturer added the warning as a legal precaution. I spoke with the brand owner, who assured me the product tests below 10 ppm of gluten, which meets GFCO’s strict standards (stricter than the FDA's 20 ppm!). She’s planning to change the label to say,...
