The Messy Truth (A Personal Note)

I didn’t realize how challenging building a business would be until I was in the thick of it. If it looks easy or glamorous from the outside, that’s only because you’re seeing the highlight reel.

What you don’t see are the hard parts — the overwhelm, the constant moving pieces behind the scenes. I juggle frustration, humility, and self-doubt daily, often wondering if I have a thick enough skin for this work… because the truth is, some people just aren’t kind.

So today, I’m sharing the messy reality. Life isn’t perfect — not for me, not for anyone. I’m growing a business, managing my celiac disease through diet (a full-time job on its own), and feeling more pressed for time than ever. Building something meaningful takes time, money, patience, and persistence.

But here’s what I want you to know: I won’t give up. I believe deeply in what we’re building, and I know I’m uniquely qualified for this job.

I’ve been showing up for more than a decade — sharing my experiences, knowledge, and even my mess-ups along the way. What may look like “overnight success” with Love Me Gluten Free has actually been 13 years in the making.

This journey hasn’t been easy, but it has made me stronger. My promise to you is that I’m not going anywhere. Anything worth fighting for comes with highs and lows — and sometimes we have to push through the lows, knowing this, too, shall pass.

Thank you for listening and for being part of this journey with me. It means more than you know.

A Taste of Pumpkin 🎃

It's officially the 'ber months, and that means I'm craving pumpkin! And just so you know, I'll be craving pumpkin all month long.

Here are two delicious and easy pumpkin recipes that bring plenty of fall vibes:

(1) The Gluten-Free Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Muffins have a tender crumb and soft texture. The pumpkin puree also adds intense moisture, making these muffins irresistibly delicious.

(2) These Gluten-Free Pumpkin Scones are such a treat. They offer the right balance of sweetness and pumpkin spice, all wrapped up in a soft and tender pastry and topped with a white chocolate glaze.

Meet the Woman Behind Marimix

This week on Gluten Free Unwrapped, I talk with Mari Fassett, the founder of Marimix. What started as a childhood snack mix turned into a certified gluten-free, whole-grain, plant-based snack brand.

After surviving a life-threatening brain aneurysm in 2017, Mari came back stronger than ever — reimagining her business with a cleaner formula and a deeper mission. Her story is inspirational - and is one of determination and survival!

Hello Reader, Next month, Love Me Gluten Free turns two. And we’ve come a long way since those humble beginnings in my basement, where friends and family helped me pack our very first boxes. Remember my first box ever? It was themed "Love From Colorado" and featured brands from my home state. This business hasn’t been easy, but it has been incredibly rewarding. I’m grateful to every single one of you who has supported this journey, whether you’ve purchased a box, followed along through these...

Hello Reader, It's the first day of spring, and I've got a new Nima test, fun recipes, new product finds (and discounts), and more. Let's get to it! Testing Drumroll Donuts 🍩 I think I’m losing my mind. I saw a celiac creator post about Drumroll donuts, saying they contain oats, but when I checked the ingredient list. There are no oats. Regardless, I thought, let's go ahead and test them with my Nima, just to put everyone's mind at ease. As you know, I have a bit of a love-hate relationship...

Hello Reader, Many of you have told me how much my weekly newsletter means to you, and truly, that feedback never gets old. That said… a few of you have gently (and not-so-gently 😉) mentioned that my Friday emails can be a bit long. Fair. I do tend to have a lot to say. This week, I’m trying two shorter newsletters you can quickly scan and enjoy. Let’s see how it goes. Feedback is always welcome! Exciting Changes at LMGF As many of you know, I also founded Love Me Gluten Free, a subscription...
