Hello Reader, I do my best to keep you informed on all things gluten-free⦠but sometimes what I have to share just plain sucks. This is one of those times. As of April 2026, Mars has updated several M&Mās products in New Zealandāincluding Peanut, Milk Chocolate, and Minisāto include gluten-containing ingredients (specifically barley malt extract). Theyāre working to spread the word, even sponsoring a post with @coeliacnewzealand to notify the community (more like⦠alarm everyone). For now, this change appears limited to New Zealand. But itās a good reminder for all of us: products can vary by country, and just because something is safe in the U.S. doesnāt mean itās safe abroad. Bottom line? Always read the label. Mars says affected products will clearly list gluten in the āContainsā statement and note wheat as a potential allergen. Stay vigilant, friends. Pro Tip: Want a better-for-you M&M alternative? I recommend Justin's Candies pieces. They're certified gluten-free, organic, and made without food dyes. Miss GF Manners is Back!Miss GF Manners is back with a question so many of us get but may not know how to answer (at least without rolling our eyes). How do you respond when someone thinks gluten-free is just a lifestyle choice or a fad diet? Should you ignore or engage? Read Miss GF Manner's full response on the Good For You Gluten Free blog. š Got a question for Miss GF Manners? Hit reply and share. Social situations, awkward moments, label confusion. Iām here to help you through it all. Have You Spotted These New Products?Crunchmaster just released a new flavor, Cheddar JalapeƱo. Sounds delicious, right? Crunchmaster describes it as having a bold, cheesy flavor with a subtle kick in every bite. Please note this new flavor is only available throughout Midwest Costco locations for a limited time.
Feel Good Foods is launching several new breakfast items, including French Toast Sticks (already hitting stores like Whole Foods, Sprouts, Kroger, and Thrive), plus Pancake Sausage Sticks and Egg & Cheese Biscuit Bites - all coming soon. April Showers Bring May FlowersEvery month, I think about what you need right now. In April, the Love Me Gluten Free box went big. Birthday energy. Celebration. Joy. In May, we wanted to do something different. Something more meaningful. With it being Celiac Disease Awareness Month, we kept coming back to one idea: What are the foods we missed the most when we first went gluten-free? And thatās exactly what this box is about. Not just snacks, but those nostalgic, comforting, I havenāt had this in years kind of foods. š Reserve your May box and get 20% off your first box with the code MAYMAGIC. We now also have a dairy-free and gluten-free box option!ā Wishing you a wonderful weekend! Sincerely, Jenny Follow on Instagram, Facebook, and/or TikTok. Hello Reader, Happy Friday! Did you see Shark Tank on Wednesday night? Dina Mitchell, the founder of PowerSoul Cafe, a dedicated, certified gluten-free fast-food chain in Las Vegas, pitched her business to the sharks. Spoiler incoming... skip the next few sentences if you don't want to know what happened. . . . Dina was clearly nervous during her pitch. At times, her back-and-forth with the Sharks came across as a bit argumentative, and she struggled to share the numbers they were looking...
Hello Reader, This weekend is my 14th anniversary with celiac disease. BC (before celiac), life was simpler. I ate anything I wanted and never bothered to read a food label. AC (after celiac), I turned into a fervent label reader. I choose carefully what I will and won't eat. And I've learned more than I care to know about ingredients like yeast extract, maltodextrin, and natural flavors. But the honest truth is, as much as having celiac sucks (it does), it's also not that bad. I know I sound...
