My Final Newsletter | How Google Crushed Me | Gluten-Free Alcohol Guide, Recipes, and More!

Hello Reader,

I can't believe I'm going to say this, but this is my final newsletter ever ... in 2024. You didn't think I'd leave you, did you? πŸ˜‰

2024 has been an up-and-down year, and I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the good and the bad.

First, the "bad."

My blog continued unraveling, and I'm ending 2024 with one-third of the traffic I had in 2023. This is a steep decline, and chances are many of your favorite bloggers are feeling the pinch.

The main reason for the decline is that Google changed its entire business model to focus on AI.

You've probably noticed these changes over the last 1-2 years. When you Google something, the search results show an AI summary of the results. You never have to click on a website. You never have to leave Google.

AI has changed the entire blogging industry, and in 2025, you'll likely see your favorite creators shift how they communicate and serve you.

And that leads me to the "good."

My little gluten-free subscription box business, which my husband and I started in April in my basement, has blossomed over the past nine months. We went from 150 subscribers in April to 1,000+ subscribers in December!

We have been able to introduce you to almost 100 products and we shipped 20,000+ pounds of food in 2024!

Your positive feedback, encouragement, and support continue to fuel us, and we are optimistic about the future.

What's in Store for 2025?

The Friday Newsletter: I love helping you make sense of the news, drama, and controversies in gluten-free land. Please open my newsletter every Friday. This is important as it ensures the email gods know you want to hear from me.

Remember, my newsletter also features exclusive deals and coupons I negotiate for you. Watch for the deals and take advantage!! I also hope to do exclusive giveaways just for my newsletter subscribers. What do you think?

The Boxes: I will continue creating amazing boxes for my Love Me Gluten Free subscribers. This has been one of the hardest and most challenging things I've ever done. It's also been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.

Please join us in 2025 so you can join the fun and stick to your #glutenfreegoals in the New Year. The code NEWYEAR20 will get you 20% off your first box at lovemeglutenfree.com.

This is also the LAST CALL for our 3, 6, and 12-month pre-paid Holiday Gift Subscriptions. You can take advantage of this offer through December 29th.

The Podcast: While blogs are dying, podcasts are booming. With that said, I'm excited to announce that I'm starting a podcast in 2025! πŸ₯³ It's like none other you've heard before.

I don't want to give too much away because I'm not ready to launch (yet), but please continue to read this newsletter so you'll be the first to know about our launch.

Before We Say Goodbye

Before we say goodbye to 2024, here are a few resources to help you through the week:

(1) Gluten-Free Alcohol Guide: My Gluten-Free Alcohol Guide will help you determine what is and isn't gluten-free and safe.

(2) Gluten-Free Appetizers: New Year's Eve is the night to serve delicious appetizers and hors d'oeuvres. I've got a list of 18 Holiday Party Appetizers, all gluten-free, of course!

Another FANTASTIC New Year's appetizer is bruschetta. I've shied away from bruschetta in the past because I couldn't find a good gluten-free baguette.

However, I made my bruschetta recipe and served it atop slices of the Against the Grain baguette - it was SO GOOD!

I sliced the Against the Grain baguette, brushed the tops with olive oil, and added a pinch of kosher salt, and then I baked the slices for 10 minutes in a 400ΒΊ F oven.

I topped each toasted slice with my homemade bruschetta to create this incredibly satisfying appetizer.

If you got the December Love Me Gluten Free box, you received a free Against the Grain coupon, valid for any of their products. You can find it at Natural Grocers, Walmart, and Whole Foods. Use the Against the Grain store locator to find them near you.

(3) Gluten-Free Rum Balls: I only make rum balls once a year, and New Year's Eve is the night. Gather your ingredients and enjoy the "ball" drop with these delicious Gluten-Free Rum Balls that I covered in chocolate and sprinkled in crushed candy canes.

(4) Pray for Omer: There are still 100 people, including seven Americans, who have been held captive for 447 days. One of those captives is Omer Shem Tov, a 22-year-old Israeli man who has celiac disease. Please take a moment to read HIS STORY and pray for his immediate and safe return.

Picture: Omer is in yellow alongside his siblings and parents. This picture was taken on October 6, 2023, at dinner to celebrate his mom's birthday. After dinner, Omer left to attend the Nova Music Festival with friends. He has not been home since.

Onward to 2025

I hope you know how much I've loved sharing this year with you ... and I can't wait to see what 2025 holds for us.

While this challenging lifestyle brought us together, there's no one I'd rather break [gluten-free] bread with than you!

Peace and love,

Jenny

Hello Reader, I've got a busy weekend ahead of me. We're packing our February Love Me Gluten Free boxes. I created Love Me Gluten Free so that you could sample all the fun goodies I got to sample as a blogger. Brands often send bloggers and influencers products to sample, but sampling those products alone is no fun! Now, through LMGF, I get to sample the products alongside you. It's so much more fun, isn't it?!? If you reserved a February box, it ships on Monday! πŸ™Œ We don't have any February...

Hello Reader, "What happens if you eat gluten?" I'm asked this question the most by well-meaning new friends. Given my profession and strict 100% diet, I'm a magnet for questions about my diet. Of course, I don't mind sharing, and I honestly like it when people ask questions. If you're curious how I answer the "What happens when you eat gluten?" question (hint: 🚽) or you want to see the other top questions about celiac disease I'm asked all the time, read my article, I Have Celiac Disease,...

Hello Reader, There is a lot happening this week, and I have much to share. But before I discuss the week's "news," I wanted to update you on a few things related to my business. SOLD OUT: My February Love Me Gluten Free box was available for pre-order earlier this week; however, it sold out last night. I'm sorry if you didn't get a box this month. They sold faster than I anticipated. Please join our waitlist here to be the first to know when we make more boxes for March. πŸ’₯ GIVEWAY LAST CALL:...
