The Story Behind Gluten-Free Goldfish 🐟

Gluten-free Goldfish are finally making their way into stores, but apparently, getting them there was quite the ordeal!

​The Wall Street Journal published a fascinating article this week about the five-year journey to make gluten-free Goldfish.

Turns out, Campbell's learned the hard way that removing gluten from its iconic cracker is harder than it sounds... but of course, we all already knew that!

Early versions were bland, and when Campbell's tried producing them on a larger scale, the dough wouldn't cooperate. The cute smiling fish looked more like angry sharks.

After years of trial and error, Campbell's finally figured it out. And to the joy of gluten-free households everywhere, certified gluten-free Goldfish are officially rolling out this month.

Where can you find them?

Campbell's says they're rolling out in major retailers like Kroger, Walmart, Albertsons, HEB, Target, ShopRite and more throughout November.

I'm still on the hunt for them near me. I check every time I'm at a grocery store! Have you spotted them near you?

5 New Gluten-Free Products (Besides Goldfish, of Course!)

1. Feel Good Foods: Penne Alla Vodka Balls? Yes, please! Feel Good Foods has introduced these limited-edition crispy bites filled with penne pasta, creamy vodka sauce, mozzarella, and Parmesan. Look for them exclusively at Whole Foods Market for a limited time only.

2. Doughy: This cashew-based, gluten-free and dairy-free cookie dough has been a Erewhon best-seller, and it's now heading to Target! The lineup includes Chocolate Chip, Sugar Cookie, Gingerbread, and Peppermint Bark. Perfect timing for holiday baking.

3. Caulitos: FamBam Foods has revealed Maple Cinnamon Caulitos, a sweet new flavor of its certified gluten-free cauliflower-based chips. They're made with rice, oats, dates, and cauliflower, and baked rather than fried.

4. Little Spoon: The popular kids' food brand is entering the cereal aisle with Dolphin Divers, a new line of gluten-free, dolphin-shaped cereals available in Cinnamon Wave, Fruity Splash, and Deep Sea Cocoa. Look for them at Target stores nationwide!

5. That's it: Fruitola Fruit Granola is now at Target. This fruit-forward granola comes in Banana, Blueberry, Strawberry, and Cinnamon varieties. The packaging highlights 16 grams of protein and 7 grams of fiber per bowl.

Life Update

I'm a pretty boring person, but I did celebrate a pretty special milestone this week... my 26th wedding anniversary!

Darren is my partner in life and business, and I wouldn't have it any other way. We met when we were 15, dated for a while, broke up for a while, and eventually figured it out. I'd say it's worked out pretty swell. 🤣

Want to know the secret to 26 years of marriage?

Well, I don't have a secret, per se, but I can tell you what I tell my kids: Picking a spouse is the most important decision you'll ever make. Choose wisely. I know I did. ❤️
